At El Charro, we’re filled with gratitude as we celebrate 27 years of serving the incredible Asheville community. Since opening our doors in 1999, we’ve proudly become more than just a restaurant — we’re a gathering place, a celebration spot, and for many, a second home.

As 2026 begins, we’re excited for what’s ahead. The past few years have been challenging for many, but we’ve seen this city bounce back with strength, heart, and resilience. And we’re honored to still be right here on Hendersonville Road in South Asheville, sharing meals, stories, and laughter with longtime friends and new faces alike.

This year, we’re bringing even more to the table — including a growing selection of fresh seafood dishes, creative fusions, and, of course, our traditional Mexican favorites that have stood the test of time. And yes, our famous all-you-can-eat buffet is still going strong, drawing locals and visitors every day to try a little bit of everything.

We’ve also been making some exciting upgrades inside! We’ve just installed brand new floors, are actively working on refreshing our bar area, and continuing to improve the space to make your experience even better.

More than anything, we want you to feel at home when you walk through our doors. Whether you’re here for a quick lunch, a family dinner, or a laid-back evening with margaritas and good friends — we invite you to eat, drink, relax, and take a deep breath.
